Inglewood (Calif.) running back Jonathan Dewitt got lost in the shuffle of recruiting after transferring to the Sentinals from Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral.
But a strong senior season is putting Dewitt's name on the map.
"I think Jonathan, in the right offense, can be a great running back," said Inglewood recruiting coordinator Khalid Ali. "He came here from Cathedral and is finally getting noticed."
Ali said a handful of schools have been expressing interest in the 5-9, 175-pound Dewitt.
"In the last month, he's heard from UNLV, Idaho, Idaho State, Northern Colorado and New Mexico," said Ali.
Ali said that Dewitt could also play cornerback in college, but thinks his talent is best suited for running back.
"He's faster than (former Inglewood star) David Freeman," said Ali. "We have to tell him to take it easy out there too, he wants to run people over, but we want him to use his speed."
Ali said academically, Dewitt is fully qualified.
