Starting a new program in a talent rich state should not be that tough one would think. The problem that Georgia State faces is that so many schools recruit the Peach State every kid is a "battle" to get them to ink with your school.
Georgia State won a battle tonight against other D1 programs such as Arkansas State, Air Force as Pearson chose the new program in Atlanta.
" They really made me feel like a priority for them. From the time me and my Dad went down there the coaches made it very clear to me, I was there No 1 target at TE. It makes you feel good to be that wanted."
Pearson, who spent 2 years at Pepperell burst on the recruiting scene as a sophomore OT at Rome HS playing a very good game against then highly rated DT Abry Jones of Northside Warner Robins in the quarterfinals in 2007.
Rusty's Take- Pearson played in run oriented offense at Pepperell, but at 6'5" and 230lbs he could blossom into a very good TE that could be a weapon in the red zone on the next level.
