Some Fun With Dzurko

Lansdale, Pa., native J.D. Dzurko has been one of the more underappreciated recruits in the Northeast this year, so Scout.com went out on the scene to help him prove to colleges that he is indeed as tall as we’ve been reporting. He currently has three offers and is hoping for more to come through.

For months college coaches have shown concern that North Penn offensive lineman J.D. Dzurko is too short to play for them, believing that he is only a shade over 6-foot-1, so Scout.com made sure to track him down after his game on Friday to show that he is indeed much taller then that. Dzurko measured in at Pittsburgh at 6-foot-2.5 and now has his weight up to 280 pounds. I played guinea pig on this one even with my slouching posture and his football spikes to show that Dzurko certainly is a legit 6-foot-2.5 or more.

Dzurko has offers to play from plenty of CAA programs and was offered a preferred walk-on spot at Duke, however we are really looking for programs like Villanova, Temple or Towson to step in and get themselves a great player.

After watching the interview I now realize why I stay behind my camera as I felt shades of Phillie’s manager Charlie Manuel when editing it. I love Manuel, but that’s not good for me.
