Williams Ready for Next Visit

Scout.com talked with 2010 prospect Avery Williams from Coolidge High School in Washington, D.C. The highly regarded athlete has taken one visit and is planning the next ones. He also received his fifth offer.

Avery Williams is one of the more highly sought after recruits in the Washington D.C. area. He has taken one official visit and has several schools asking him to take an official to their schools as well. His senior film is making the rounds and Williams continues to hear from several schools. He is in the process of narrowing down his list so he can plan to take his other visits. He also has narrowed down an announcement time.

"I took an official to Utah recently," said Williams. "It was really gorgeous. The campus is so beautiful. They view is really special. I really like how the fans support the football out there. There isn't a pro football team so they put their heart and soul into Utah football. The academics are very good. They support their athletes and help them when they need it. The coaches and players are great. The people out there are so nice and friendly. My father and I got to spend some time with Head Coach Kyle Whittingham so the trip was perfect.

Williams currently has offers from Utah, Kansas, West Virginia, Michigan State and most recently New Mexico.

He plans on scheduling his other visits soon. "I have to get some dates set. The other schools are contacting me about when I am coming for my official visit. The next one will be either Kansas or West Virginia. After that I will know more about where I will go next."

Williams plans on making an announcement sometime in December before Christmas.
