GA LB talks trip to Tuscaloosa
"It was my first game over at Alabama and I really liked it a lot," said Marcus Mack. "I really liked the atmosphere there, the facilities were great, and it was easy to tell that Alabama is a top program all around." No, this game was not one of the biggest on the Alabama schedule, but that is what impressed Mack so much. It was not an SEC showdown against LSU or Auburn, but the crowd acted like it was. "I loved the fans at Alabama and even though it was not a big SEC game, you could still see the Alabama spirit in the fans. They were still loud, still into the game, and that kind of thing is important to me. I was impressed with the support they get." The 6-foot-2, 205 pound linebacker out of Atlanta (GA) North Springs also liked how Tuscaloosa is built around the Crimson Tide football program. "It is a nice college town and everything is about football there," added Mack. "Everyone loves Alabama football there and it was easy to see that it was a very important thing." Alabama is one of the schools showing early interest in the 2011 prospect. He is also hearing from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Michigan State, North Carolina, and Vanderbilt. The junior finished with 103 tackles in 2009 and he is no rush to name a leader, but he does have interest in the Tide. "It is too early in the process for me to have a top school or anything, but I have been watching Alabama since I was old enough to know I wanted to play college football. They are a top program and I could see myself playing for them." Mack also named Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, Stanford, and Vanderbilt as schools of interest.
