Northwestern landes some very talented athletes in this recruiting class and several could see early playing time in 2003.

The One That Got Away - RB Courtney Tennial (Oklahoma)

A good haul of talented athletes for Randy Walker and his Wildcat football staff.

Georgia’s Deante Battle is a true cover corner that could offer immediate help in the secondary. Battle is the #16 ranked cornerback according to

Wide receiver Sam Cheatham is being billed as the next Sam Simmons in Evanston. Those will be some pretty big shoes to fill but Cheatham will be up to the task.

Kentucky’s Dylan Thiry is a 6-foot-8, 290-pound, offensive tackle that comes from a winning program. Thiry was responsible for the blind side of junior phenom quarterback Brian Brohm.

The sleeper in this class is Houston, Texas defensive back, Eddie Simpson. Simpson is a big hitter, has above average speed and he makes plays all over the field. Northwestern fans can look for exciting things from this young man in the future.
