Young Down to Three
Louis Young had narrowed his list to four schools about two weeks ago. They were Boston College, Maryland, Stanford and Virginia. However, today's events at Virginia have caused him to narrow the list even more. He now has his schedule of visits set leading up to his announcement at the Maryland Crab Bowl All-Star game on December 19th. "I have eliminated Virginia from my list," said Young. "I am disappointed that they fired Coach (Al) Groh and I really don't see myself going there now. I was comfortable with Coach Groh. Regardless of who they may hire I have moved on and I am happy with my final three." With Virginia eliminated, Young plans to visit Maryland on December 4th and Boston College will be on December 11th. He has been to Stanford twice so at this point he doesn't plan to visit again. He will then announce which school he will attend on December 19th at the Crab Bowl. It is a hectic three weeks and it all starts with home visits from each school. "Stanford is coming to my home on Tuesday. Boston College and Maryland have plans to come for home visits this upcoming week as well." Young and his high school team, Good Counsel, recently won their conference Championship. Young was a big reason why with a go ahead touchdown reception and the game clinching interception in a 14-7 victory over rival and nationally ranked DeMatha Catholic. Young has received All-Conference and All-Met recognition.
