Scout TV: Dillon Romain

Dillon Romain has standing offers from Portland State, Monmouth, Missouri State and Albany as well as a few preferred walk-ons from FBS level programs, however his biggest interest right now is in Tulane University who is coming soon to visit him at Blair Academy.

Coming out of Don Bosco Prep, Scout.com thought that Dillon Romain would pick up some offers at running back, but it didn’t happen. One thing that stood in his way was that he hadn’t played on defense and frankly, didn’t show as much speed as he needed to, however a season at Blair Academy has been a big plus for him. If you watch the five clips below, you can see that the 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back has gotten quicker, more agile and faster while maintaining his large frame.

Romain may not have the talent to play running back at the highest levels, but he’s certainly capable to play at the FBS level and if not, could turn into an very solid safety and special teams player.

Right now Tulane is coming on strong and the word is that they may offer. BYU is another program showing significant interest. Rutgers offered Romain as a preferred walk-on last year and after a year of reviewing, offered him the same again, so we would imagine Romain will have no interest in the Scarlet Knights at this point.
