Clint Trickett talks about Bobby Bowden
"It was expected either this year or next year," said Clint Trickett son of offensive line coach Rick Trickett. "We kind of knew it was coming. It's bittersweet no matter what happens. I think he is the greatest coach of all time. He is still Bobby Bowden. "You would have thought I would have found out a little bit earlier than everyone else. I didn't find out until it scrolled across the screen on ESPN. I found out the same time everyone else did." Trickett discussed how coach Bowden impacted the Florida State program. "Coach Bowden built the program from the ground up," he said. "Florida State is a national powerhouse because of him. His record speaks for itself. You saw what the offense did this season. I know what I can do." The future Seminole has spoken with one commitment since Bowden's announcement to retire. "I have spoken to Darious Cummings," Trickett said. "I think once he finishes taking visits we are both going to be on top of getting players to come to Florida State. He said he expected it to happen and wasn't surprised, but was sad."
