Conner Davis is making his rounds in the recruiting process and raved to Scout.com about a quality…
Davis Commitment is Unwavering
Conner Davis was very disappointed when he heard that former Virginia Head Coach Al Groh would not be retained by his future school. He has been a life long fan of the school and was hoping to play for Coach Groh. Despite his feelings about the departure he is 100% committed to the school and his future as a Cavalier. "I felt bad when I heard Coach Groh wouldn't be there to coach me," said Davis. "But I committed to more than just him. I committed to the players there and the school itself. I have wanted to play at Virginia my whole life since I was little kid. That is where I want to be and nothing will change my mind on that." Tight Ends Coach Bob Price, along with Defensive Backs Coach Anthony Poindexter, has been contacting recruits and are the only two coaches currently retained by Virginia. "Coach Price called me Sunday night and he came to my school today. We just talked about the desire for me to come to Virginia. They really want me to be a part of the program. Nothing has changed for either one of us. He told me that Virginia is working hard to get the best coach there as soon as possible. The next potential coach may be involved in post season play so they have to work around that. I know they will put in the necessary effort to get the right guy for the job." Davis is felling very confident in his abilities coming off this season. He learned a lot as a junior and it came together for a very successful senior season. "We were just 5-5 but we played hard and I made it a point to give every play my best effort."
