Kaysville (Utah) Davis sophomore defensive end Troy Hinds, one of the top prospects in the West in the 2012 class, has his first offer in.
"Utah offered Troy tonight," said his father David.
The verbal offer from the Utes is the first of what should be many for Hinds, who had a big sophomore season for the Darts.
Hinds concluded his sophomore year with 96 tackles and eight sacks, including an 18-tackle performance against Weber.
He was one of the standouts at the 2009 Phoenix Scout.com Combine, when he participated as a freshman.
