"Chubby" says go Dawgs!

The 6' 0", 205 pound receiver out of Oak Grove has decided to stay instate and play for the Mississippi State Bulldogs on the next level. To read more, click below.


Scout.com's #63 rated receiver decided to join his teammate, Jay Hughes, to Mississippi State.

Both are announcing this morningthat they plan to play for the Bulldogs next season.

"I picked MSU so my grandmother can finally come watch me play," stated "Chubby". "She lives in Starkville so that played a big role in my decision."

Robert Johnson, who caught 38 passes for 628 yards and 5 TD's this season, picked MSU over the Rebels.

Jay Hughes, who could be playing defensive back at MSU next season under his father Tony Hughes, played running back, receiver, and corner for the 6A South Champs. Jay is rated the #88 rated tailback by Scout.com. He rushed for over 900 yards ad 9 TD's this fall.

Both are expected to be full qualifiers.
