This junior passes the eye test

TAMPA, FL. - Take a look at one of the top juniors in the country. He does not look like your average junior.

I left the Shrine Bowl in South Carolina on Tuesday and headed South to Florida for the remainder of the week.

I flew into Tampa early Wednesday morning and here is the first prospect I visited...

James Wilder, Jr. at Plant High School. He is a 6-2 1/2, 219 pound junior and is a lock for Scout100 in 2011.

When I asked Wilder about his offers, he said, "around 40". When I asked Plant Head Coach Robert Weiner the same question, he said, "you can pretty much say everybody has."

Florida is felt to be the early leader, but he will have plenty of options to choose from.

I will be out to see James in action against a talented Manatee team Friday night in Orlando for the State Championship, so stay tuned for video, photos, analysis, and an interview.
