Peoples is One to Watch

Desmon Peoples certainly isn’t the biggest running back recruiters will come across, but he’s certainly a name that will be on coach’s minds this year when they’re looking for a playmaker on their offense.

St. Joseph’s Prep running back Desmon Peoples only measures in at 5-foot-6, 145 pounds, however Scout.com has seen him in person plenty of times and he is without a doubt one of the most slippery running backs in the Northeast. Peoples contorts his body in ridiculous ways to get through small holes, can stop and go on a dime and has the breakaway speed to put teams to shame.

Right now he has initial interest from Connecticut, Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Temple, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia and as he continues to perform and add some muscle mass, teams will certainly come calling.

As a sophomore, Peoples carried the ball 125 times for 1050 yards and caught 18 passes for 298 yards. He had a total of 15 touchdowns and was named first-team All-League.
