West Virginia received a commitment today from Canton McKinley (Ohio) linebacker Jewone Snow.
"I just committed to West Virginia about five minutes ago," Snow reported Friday afternoon. "I just talked to (assistant coach) Jeff Mullen and told him I wanted to commit to West Virginia. Coach Mullen was really excited."
Snow, one of the leading tacklers in Canton McKinley history, said the Mountaineers are looking at him as a middle linebacker.
"They want me to be able to play all three linebacker spots, but I will be starting out in the middle," he stated.
Snow and his family were quite excited to have this day finally arrive.
"My mom and I are both thrilled to see me headed to West Virginia," he said. "The school has everything any player could possibly want. This is a great Christmas present for my entire family. The head coach, Bill Stewart, will be calling me in a few minutes to congratulate me. Coach Mullen told me their whole staff is really happy I committed to West Virginia."
