Leaving it alone

Leaving it alone

Read on for the latest on Panama City (Fla) Arnold RB Jeremy Hester.

Jeremy Hester talked about his senior season, which fell short of local expectations.

"Last year we went 10 and 0 but this year we went 4 and 6. I finished with 1,500 yards with 20 or 21 touchdowns. We didn't get the state championship like I wanted but hey it's football."

Hester, 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds, committed to Southern Miss earlier this year and talked about them.

"I think they could have done better, but I was happy that they got a bowl game. They lost but at least they got a bowl game. I was hoping for a conference championship."

Hester, who says no other schools keep recruiting him, plans on taking his visit to So Miss next month.

"I'm going to Southern Miss January 22nd, but that's the only one," he said. "People told me I should have gone on more visits but I didn't want to and I kinda left the whole recruiting thing alone."
