Sanders Readies for the Home Stretch
Vincent Sanders profile "Basketball is going pretty good," said Sanders. "I think we're 8-5. We haven't started district play yet. I think I am playing pretty good, but I haven't played too many games because of my hamstring. "When I get done with basketball, I am just going to be getting ready for football. I'll be doing some lifting and getting my fundamentals down." The January visit schedule is written in sand. The talented wide out knows who he wants to visit, but he is not 100% sure of the order of those trips. "I plan on visiting Mississippi State, Ole Miss, West Virginia and Florida State," said Vincent. "I am going to try to go somewhere this weekend. I am not sure where yet, but I am going to try to get something set up." This past weekend Vincent, his uncle and cousin made the long drive from Macon, Mississippi to Dallas for the first Cotton Bowl to ever be played in Cowboys Stadium. "I went to the Cotton Bowl this weekend," said Vincent. "The stadium is unbelievable. There's so much to do inside in the stadium. We had a good time. It was a good game." The winners of the Cotton Bowl, the Ole Miss Rebels, are one of the schools high on his list. Vincent cautions observers from reading too much into his post holiday excursion. "If anyone one else would have went to a bowl game I would have gone to their bowl too," said Vincent. Sanders denies a leader and reports that rumors that he has already made his college decision are unfounded. "Everybody is still the same," said Vincent. "I don't have a leader. I can't really say anything about what everybody else says. I can't do anything about that. I just know that everybody is still even with me." Signing day is just under a month away and Vince plans to take advantage of every possible momement to make his decision. Once that decision is made, he plans to announce in style." "I just want to have the opportunity to sit down and have an audience and tell everyone where I am going to school," said Vincent. "I want to be able to take my time and make my own decision. I want to be able to make my decision on signing day."
