Carrillo Gaining Momentum

Finding a quality kicker or punter has now become extremely vital to the success of college programs and Louisville, Ky., native Kevin Carrillo is a player that could fill in at both spots for a program. North Carolina and Tulsa want him to walk on and earn a scholarship and more schools are also interested.

Kevin Carrillo, a 6-foot, 165-pound kicker/punter from Butler High School in Louisville, Ky., has North Carolina and Tulsa asking him to walk on and earn a scholarship which in these days, is very common practice at his position and the two-star player is considering those options, but many other schools are talking scholarship possibilities with him.

"As of today Kevin has walk on offers from North Carolina and Tulsa," Mario Carrillo wrote. "Louisville is taking a long look at him with a walk on offer imminent and Marshall and Indiana have shown a lot of interest of late. He has written offers from several Division II and Division III schools, but we're waiting to see what happens."

Carrillo was recently selected first-team All-District at both punter and kicker and was honorable mention All-State. To top it off, he's only been a kicker for 15 months and has plenty of upside.
