Seantrel Henderson was very impressive, but Robert Woods has just been so successful that for the second consecutive day he earned the MVP honors for having the top performance on the West squad.
“It is pretty good for me,” Woods said. “There is a lot of competition out here, like I said yesterday. Just to be in it (The Army Bowl) is the best. I am just trying to come out here and do my thing score get in the end zone. Catch the ball first and get my name out there.”
Woods compared his second day performance to his first day MVP performance.
“It is pretty comparable,” Woods informed. “The quarterbacks are putting the ball there for me and they have a lot of time with Seantrel (Henderson) blocking for them. It is just a win-win, everything is there, just running routes and everything is there for me.”
Woods heard that his future teammate Kyle Prater is getting some glowing accolades and he is looking forward to getting on the same field with him in college at USC.
“I heard the same thing,“ Woods said when told analysts covering the East practice are raving about Prater. “Kyle Prater is over there making people look bad and jumping over people. He said he ran by somebody and the ball was under thrown and he had to come back and he still jumped over him to make the catch.”
“It is kind of like high school but a little different. Me and George (Farmer) are the speedy guys and now we got somebody that is going to be a possession receiver and jump over people in the end-zone and let us get the short quick stuff and get it to the house.”
