"Coaches Nutt and Austin came over from Ole Miss tonight," added Quadarias Mireles
. "It went good as always. We just visited."
What were their selling points?
"They just basically talked about the Wild Rebel, but we really did not
talk about all of that stuff; we just hung out and had fun. My family was all
there. We just talked about life in general."
Miami was in Mireles' house on Tuesday.
"Coach Hill came by yesterday, and he wanted me to come in for a visit
this weekend so they could check out my ankle that I hurt during the last game
of the season, but I have decided that I am sticking with Ole Miss. I think
that is where I am going to end up in about 10 more days when I graduate. My
final decision is that I am going to be a Rebel. I am going to Ole Miss."
"Q" was about 75% sure that he was signing with Ole Miss earlier this
week. What is that percentage now?
"It is 100%. I have made my mind up for good. I graduate on the 11th (of
January), and I am going to enroll at Ole Miss on the 19th. My family and I
had a long talk about it, and I just feel more comfortable at Ole Miss."
Has Mireles informed the Arkansas staff about the decision?
"No, I have not had a chance to do that yet because the Ole Miss coaches
just left my house. Coach Smith (from Arkansas) told me that my offer scholarship
offer was still solid, and that they really needed me, but I going to stick
with Ole Miss because of the relationship I have built with those coaches. He
is supposed to be coming by here tomorrow to see me, so I guess I will tell
