Two Visits Set For Smith
Nolen Smith profile "I am taking visits to Mississippi State and UAB and I am trying to get one to Troy," said Smith. "I am going to Mississippi State on the 29th and UAB on the 22nd. I will probably take try to get one set up for Troy for the 15th." Nolen has picked up offers from Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, Troy, UAB and Vanderbilt, but some of those doors have now closed. "Mississippi State is still talking with me and Troy, Sanford and Middle Tenenssee State are too," said Smith. "Mississippi State hasn't offered yet, but UAB has. Mississippi State said they were going to wait to see about the guys that have already offered." The Bulldogs have talked to Nolen about the possibility of going on scholarship in 2011. "They have talked to me about gray shirting," explained Smith. "I kind of like that idea because it would give me a year to get adjusted. "At the same time, I would like to go in and play this year, but if I took the gray shirt I would still get to play in the SEC in a year." Nolen denies a leader and is still considering his options. This time last month, Smith was set to take on the Mississippi All Stars in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star classic. "It was fun getting to play with all that competition," said Nolen. "The DBs were a lot faster than usual. It was a good experience for me. You really have to go out there and compete."
