"I feel like the game went really well for me," Josh Gebhardt stated. "In two quarters, I had five or six tackles. I had two quarterback hurries. It was a good experience. I enjoyed playing against that kind of competition. "I proved to myself that I can play the outside linebacker position in college. When I played outside linebacker during the season, I had a different kind of role for our team. In this game I played a true outside linebacker position. I learned the position in about three days. I feel like my size and strength were as good as anyone else's there. And I feel that I was better than some of the players there." Gebhardt has been in close contact with an Coast Division program from the ACC. "Virginia has been in really close contact with me lately," he commented. "I just got off the phone with them tonight. Coach (Anthony) Poindexter told me that the coaches watched my film. They all agreed that they liked my speed, size, and versatility. "He said they're limited on scholarships, but they're gonna try to work something out. They saw my highlights of the O-D game, too. Coach Poindexter said all the coaches were impressed with what I did in that game. I've been talking to them a lot lately." If the Cavalier staff offers Gebhardt they are likely in the driver's seat for his signature. "There's a good chance that I'd commit to Virginia if they offered," he said. "That'd give me a chance to play in a great conference at the major college level. And at the same time I could get a great education." Gebhardt has rescheduled his official visits. "I've changed my official visit dates," he said. "On the 22nd (January) I'm going to UAB. On the 29th (January) I'm going to Virginia. I'll take an official to Air Force. I'm just not sure when. "Right now, those are my top three schools. The top three are Air Force, Virginia, and UAB. They're all even."
