The 4-Star CB out of Co-Linn CC came back from his Ole Miss official visit in December with the Rebels on his mind. Does it still stand that way? To learn more, click below.

"I am leaning pretty hard to Ole Miss," added Dequan Menzie. "I just feel like I have a good chemistry with everybody up there. I know Fon Ingram and Ryan Campbell really well. We grew up together, and I can relate to them and they can relate to me. It was the same way with the rest of those players up there and the staff too. Coach Nutt is crazy, and it just feels so good to talk to Coaches Dameron, Vaughn, and (Tyrone) Nix too. All of their coaches understand me, and I just feel it with those guys. They not only want me; they need me. I just think I am going to go with Ole Miss most likely."

Menzie left from his Ole Miss official visit in early December and eliminated Tennessee which only left the Rebels left on his list, but over the Christmas holidays while he was back home in Columbus (GA), several more schools jumped in the game.

"Alabama came by my house (in Columbus, GA) and wanted me to come in for a visit. I set something up with them for this weekend. Then I went over to a Georgia practice, and they wanted me to come in for a visit for the last weekend in January, but I went ahead and canceled that visit. Coach Butch Davis brought over a few of their coaches to our house over the christmas holidays too. We set up a visit with them this weekend, but I was not feeling it there. I do not want to play in the ACC. I want to play with and against the best so I want to stay in the SEC."

Will Dequan end up going on his Alabama scheduled visit this upcoming weekend or will he cancel it like he did Georgia and North Carolina?

"I have not canceled that visit yet, but I might when I get back to school on Tuesday."

Any particular reason it would happen on a Tuesday?

"Well , I guess you could say that (laugh). Ole Miss is bringing over their coaches, including their head coach, to see me Tuesday. They are leaving here and going to see my mom after they see me."

What are the percentages that DQ will just go ahead and announce for Ole Miss?

"I am about 80% sure right now. I am waiting until I am 100% sure, and when that moment comes, I will take it from there."

Outside of Ole Miss; who is still realistically in the picture?

"I am not sure who I want to check out anymore outside of Ole Miss, really. It is looking likely that it will be Ole Miss."

Menzie ended up earning 2nd Team All-American status by the NJCAA this season after collecting 51 tackles, 19 batted down balls, and 2 interception.
