Kent (Wash.) Kentridge outside linebacker Dylan Zylstra, an all-state pick in 2009, will be staying in-state to play his college football.
"I committed to Eastern Washington today," said Zylstra.
The SPSL Defensive Back of the Year took an official visit to Cheney this weekend to visit Eastern Washington.
"I just loved it over there," said Zylstra. "I hit it off well with the coaches and the players and had a lot of fun there."
Zylstra has spent the past three years starting at outside linebacker and defensive end with the Chargers, but said the Eagles' staff has an idea where they want him.
"They want me as a defensive end," said Zylstra.
Zylstra was scheduled to visit Air Force next weekend, the Falcons also having offered him, but he's cancelled that trip.
"It feels so good to be done," said Zylstra.
Now, Zylstra is starting at center for the Kentridge basketball program, where as the starter a year ago, he helped lead the Chargers to a third place finish in the state.
