Chris Fetters ( learned from sources in Portland Sunday afternoon that Keanon Lowe, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound WR/DB from Jesuit High School, a U.S. Army All-American, has decommitted from Washington and now will stay closer to home and attend the University of Oregon after a late decision to take an official visit to Eugene this past weekend.

"I just committed to the Oregon Ducks... Thought you should know," Lowe sent via text, confirming the decision, one that will be fulfilling a life-long dream for the Oregon native.

Lowe had been committed to Washington since the middle of June, declining offers from schools like Arizona State, Colorado and Stanford, but took an official visit to UO this past weekend and clearly felt the pull of home. It's expected that he will get a chance to play receiver for the Ducks, as playing offense has long been reported as his preference.

Hopefully we'll have more on this breaking news as more details become available.
