Mason Thinking Third Offer is Close
Forrest Mason visited Temple this weekend and came away with a good feeling about the school. Although he has yet to receive an official offer from the school he is confident after the visit he will have one soon. "I really liked the campus and the facilities there," said Mason. "The coaches are real cool. They are going to come to my basketball game on Tuesday. They say they are still evaluating me but I feel good about things and think an offer may be coming soon." Mason currently holds offers form East Carolina and Connecticut. The recent coaching change at ECU won't change his mind about his interest in the school. "No it doesn't change my feelings about them. I liked (former Head Coach) Skip Holtz but it is the school I am interested in as well. I am not sure if I will visit East Carolina or Connecticut but I like both programs." Mason is hearing from other schools as well. "I hear a lot from Kansas State, Rutgers, California and Maryland. I don't know if any will offer but I still talk to them." With the versatility to play as a defensive end or linebacker, Mason has schools excited about his potential. "I can play with my hand down or be a rush backer. So regardless of the defensive system I can fit in and help the team. I have good athleticism for my size and that helps me be able to do different things on defense."
