Ready for Ingram
Michael Douglas made an early commitment to Kentucky and visited them during the season. Despite some recent action from other schools trying to get back into the mix, Douglas is all set for next Wednesday. "I'm gonna sign with Kentucky and fax papers next week," Douglas said. "Iowa has been making a run at me lately but I'm not into it like that." Douglas, 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, said there's a lot to like about the SEC program he's headed to. "I just like the atmosphere," he said. "I went out the when they were playing Louisville and it was sold out. I like the program, what they are trying to do. And the competition week in and week out is real good when you're playing that schedule." Douglas hopes to go in and be able to compete right away for playing time. "They tell me to come in with the mindset I am gonna play early," he said. "I am ready to give the returning guys a run for their money." The standout defensive end prospect is excited about the future of the Kentucky program. "I think Kentucky is gonna be real good," he said. "They have a young team. I think it is gonna be a good year. I can't wait to get a chance to hit Mark Ingram next year. I think I am gonna take him down on my first try."
