Portland (Ore.) Douglas defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa committed to UCLA on Wednesday afternoon.
"I know you came here to see my announce my decision," said Odighizuwa. "The three schools I narrowed my schools down to, I feel like I could close my eyes and be successful. I'm very proud to announce I'll be attending the University of California, Los Angeles to get my degree and play football."
The five-star defensive end picked the Bruins over Oregon State and Nebraska.
"I felt real comfortable with the coaching staff there, obviously the academics are real good and I feel with all of my heart their football program is on the rise, at the end of the day, I felt the most comfortable, and I felt like it was the best decision for me," said Odighizuwa.
He becomes the Bruins' highest profile defensive player.
"The factor that came down to these final three, was where I felt the most comfortable at, and where I see myself excelling the next 4-5 years, and the academics," said Odighizuwa.
Odighizuwa thanked his mother and gave her many compliments.
"Without my mom, I don't know if I'd be the level-headed man I am today," said Odighizuwa.
