The Nebraska spring game isn't an official junior day, but the list for the spring game is growing…
Reed Adds to an Impressive List
Cedric Reed, a 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive end from Cleveland High in Texas is already looked at as one of the most elite players in the country and he has the offer list to back it up. Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Baylor, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Oklahoma State are just some of the schools that have stepped up to the plate with scholarship offers. And on Monday night the list grew by one more. "Notre Dame offered," Reed informed. This past Saturday Reed was one of the few players in the Lone Star State that received an invitation to the Texas junior day and while he was in Austin he picked up an official offer from the Longhorns. This weekend Reed will be taking a visit to see the other Big 12 South powerhouse in Norman, Okla. "Oklahoma this Saturday," Reed responded when asked what was next stop on his evaluation period travel tour. As a junior Reed racked up an impressive 86 tackles and 11 sacks to earn All-District honors. He was also one of the top performers at the U.S. Army All-American Combine and earned Scout.com Second team All-Combine honors for his efforts.
