Ben McCord is one of a handful of Midwest prospects holding an early D1/FBS offer. The 6'3, 197-lb wide receiver from Warren Cousino picked up his first one from Toledo.
"Toledo is a really nice school," he said. "I love it there. The coaches and especially the spread offense they run. Everything just fits me perfectly."
The Rockets are not the only school recruiting him though. McCord has several others inviting him up to campus.
"I went to the junior day at Michigan this past weekend. It was very good. It was my second time being up there for a visit. They are interested in me. They just want me to work harder and keep doing good in school and on the field."
Toledo was McCord's only other visit so far, but he says there will be more soon. One of the schools he is going to be checking out is Central Michigan, where his older brother Aaron is on the team.
"I'm going to Central this weekend and I was suppose to visit Bowling Green, but I was sick. I'm just working hard and trying to put my name out there more. Hopefully I can get more offers when the time comes."
