Two SEC schools offer tight end
Eric MacLain, tight end from Fayetteville-Jack Britt, N.C., de-committed from Tennessee after the coaching changes (Kiffin to USC). Schools are really beginning to step up their recruitment. "I have new offers from South Carolina and Arkansas," said MacLain. "They both offered me on Monday. I really like the fact both schools are in the SEC. "I like South Carolina. I really like how they use their tight ends. Arkansas scores a lot of points with their offensive system. I actually spoke to someone from Arkansas today." MacLain talked with Razorback assistant coach Marty Biagi. "He was just asking me what all I knew about the school," he said. "He said they are going to be competing for SEC championships. He told me they plan to be going up against Alabama for first place in the SEC for years to come." MacLain attended Junior Day in Knoxville, but remains uncommitted. "It was good to finally meet the coaches and sit down and talk to them," MacLain said. "They cleared some things up. It's Tennessee football. It's not going to change. "I like coach Dooley and the way he spoke. He is an honest man. We got to go over some Xs and Os. It's was fun." MacLain plans to keep a busy schedule and will visit Clemson and Virginia Tech this spring.
