Ricardo Williams is a talented defensive end prospect from Homestead High and Scout caught up with him to talk about the latest.

Ricardo Williams put his name on the recruiting map with an excellent junior season when he emerged as one of the top pass rushers in all of south Florida.

"I finished last season with 16 sacks on defense and three touchdowns receiving," Williams said after playing both ways as a junior.

At 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, Williams has the frame to add a lot of weight at the next level. That size, production, and his athleticism are some of the reasons why he's a major college prospect.

"I've already gotten offers from Florida State, Texas Tech, and UCF," he said. "My top five choices right now would be Miami, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, and Clemson."

The standout defender said he grew up favoring the hometown program that is located just a few minutes from his home.

"I've always followed UM," he said. "I like them, like how they're growing into a top program. I like their swagger and plus it's the hometown team. They haven't offered me yet though but I hope they do."

Williams talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"I wanna go to a place where they go and play in a bowl game every year and a school with a good academic program," he said.

Inside the classroom Williams claims a 2.7 core and hasn't reported a test score yet.
