Pinson Making the Rounds

Pinson Making the Rounds

Terrell Pinson knows a thing or two about college recruiting. As an underclassman, Pinson watched teammates Justin Bean, Chad Bumphis and Chris Garrett all sign with SEC programs. With his final prep season approaching, Terrell is working hard to continue the Wave tradition of excellence in hopes of landing on a college roster.

"I am hearing from Ole Miss, Southern (Miss), Penn State, LSU and Army," said Pinson. "I would say Ole Miss is sending me the most mail."

Terrell has made a handful of trips this year to learn more about the programs that are recruiting him.

"I went to Southern (Miss), Ole Miss and Memphis," reported the talented receiver. "LSU sent me an invitation to theirs, but I couldn't make it."

During the course of his junior day visits, Pinson was able to speak with the college coaches that have been in contact with him through the mail.

Ole Miss - "Coach Nutt said they needed three top receivers in this class and he wanted me to be one of them. They are talking about offering."

Southern Miss - "I didn't get to talk with Coach Fedora, but I spoke with some of the main recruiters. They told me they were real interested in me."

Memphis - "The coaches there told me they were looking for a big physical receiver and they think I might be able to fill that spot."

Terrell plans to camp at LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss this summer and perhaps a few other schools.

When decision time comes, playing time will be a major factor.

"I want to go somewhere that I know I can play," explained Pinson. "I want to go to a school that likes to pass the ball. Nothing against the running game, but I want to be able to get the ball in my hands and make plays."
