2011 Prospect: LaSalle QB

Player: QB/S Rafi Montalvo

School: Immaculata La Salle (Miami, FL)

Measurables: 6-0/190

Grades: 3.4 core/no test

Junior Stats: 1,576 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, 305 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns

Top 5 college choices: Notre Dame, UM, Kansas, Syracuse, USF

Childhood favorite: Notre Dame

Scholarship offers: none

2 most important factors: quality of education and opportunity to play early

The Skinny: Montalvo developed into one of the top passers in south Florida as a junior while he dominated the small school competition. At 6-feet, he lacks ideal height but makes up for it with tremendous athleticism. You'll have a hard time finding a better athlete at the QB position anywhere around and you can tell by the amount of rushing yardages he produces. He's got a lot of Div 1 type tools and will certainly get a lot of looks this spring when those coaches come by.
