Frazier Talks First Offer
Matt Frazier admits he was surprised to earn a first offer from Florida International. One of the top prospects in Illinois, it seemed like only a matter of time before offers would come, but not from that far away. "I hadn't even received a letter from them," Frazier admitted. "The O-line coach said he brought my film in and they liked me and wanted to offer and they want to get me down to visit." Coincidentally, Frazier was in Florida for Spring Break, but he was not able to stop at FIU. He says he would like to visit eventually though. "I know a little bit about the school. I know they like to run the ball, but they run some shotgun and a little bit of spread. That's whay my team in high school does." Next up for Frazier, trying to earn more offers at summer camps. "I don't have other offers, but I think a few more will come if not, before the camps, then afterwards. Once they see me in person, I think they'll be impresssed." Frazier has signed up for camps at Northwestern, Iowa, Indiana and Purdue and believes he will show them what he needs to to earn an offer. Even if he doesn't, he now knows he has a place at FIU. "It feels great to have the offer. It's like a weight lifted off my chest. I've seen a lot of other kids at junior days and visits getting offers and I was getting nervous. I'm happy with the one I have, but I still have I have more coming in."
