Big New Offer For Stevenson
Fourteen offers in hand for Klein (TX) Oak tight end Max Stevenson. But it seems like the good news just keeps on coming in. "Oklahoma offered," Stevenson said to Scout.com. "It's amazing and I'm so excited about it. It came today." The 6-foot-6.5, 225-pound Stevenson was in Norman for the Oklahoma spring game and said that he got a lot of good time with the Sooner coaching staff. "I was offered after the game," Stevenson said. Now, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, California, LSU, Iowa State, Notre Dame, Rice, Duke, Northwestern, Baylor, Arizona, Mississippi State and Missouri have stepped up to offer Stevenson. He is also still hearing some from Texas A&M. With the visit in the books now, Stevenson will get ready for spring football at Klein Oak. He stated that he not likely to take many more visits. In fact, he said that a decision could come sooner than later. "I think this last visit will be the last one," Stevenson said. "I would have to say that Oklahoma, Texas Tech, LSU and Notre Dame are my top choices right now and a decision could come fairly soon." Stevenson ended his junior season with 25 receptions for 450 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Klein Oak team also has a nice rushing attack which Stevenson played a key role in that success. Klein Oak ran for 1,806 yards in 2009. Tight end is the position that most programs project him playing. Only Texas A&M prefer him as a receiver, according to Stevenson.
