Grice, 6-foot, 245-pounds, gained over 1,100 yards and scored 14 touchdowns as a tailback, while also playing defensive tackle.
"I had a good year as a junior, and I'm hoping to play linebacker this coming season," Grice stated. "I want to cut my weight down to around 230-pounds to be able to be quicker on defense."
His fine play has led to two scholarship offers, and Grice is hopeful more might be headed his way.
"I have offers from Alabama State and Akron right now," he reported. "I have visited Akron a lot and the coaches are great to me, and it feels like home. I've never really been out of Akron before, but I'm hoping to be able to visit Alabama State this summer."
"I sent my tape out to a lot of schools and Alabama State liked what they saw and they called me and told me they were offering," he continued. "I have spoken to them on the phone and they want me to come down for camp, and I'm planning on doing that."
Right now, Grice's offers are dramatically different in terms of distance, but he indicates that won't play a part in his decision.
"I have no problem leaving the area at all if that's the best place for me," Grice insists. "It's actually kind of appealing to think about getting away. I need to find a place where I can get a great education, and get on the field quickest. Alabama State is recruiting me as a tailback, while Akron sees me as a fullback. I'm a power football player, and I like blocking as well as running the ball."
