Cleveland Indians junior defensive end Cedric Reed will announce his verbal commitment at a press conference to be held on Friday, April 23, 2010, at 12 noon at Cleveland High School, located at 1600 E. Houston Street in Cleveland, Texas.
Reed, a 6-foot-6, 245 lb. end, is ranked as the 7th best defensive end in Texas and is listed as the 54th top overall prospect in the nation in the Class of 2011.
He has chosen to announce this very important decision of where he plans to attend college on April 23rd, in honor of his deceased mother's birthday.
Reed, who was recruited by over 60 colleges and universities, is a two-time First Team All-District 22-3A selection as a sophomore and junior. He was also named Second-Team All-American by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He has helped Cleveland win back-to-back District 22-3A championships.
