Kankakee (Ill.) Bishop McNamara offensive lineman Matt Frazier was hoping it would come sooner, but…
In-State Offer for Frazier
One of the top two-way linemen in Illinois, Matt Frazier waited patiently for his first offer, and low and behold, one came from Florida International recently. That may have broken the dam, so to speak, as the second one came this week. "I received an offer from Northern Illinois University for a full scholarship," the 6'4, 281-lb Frazier reported. "I really like the recruiting coach, Coach Zebrowksi and Coach Limegrover, the O-line coach, and Coach Kill are great guys. We have visited twice and really like the atmosphere." Frazier says the spring evaluation period has brought about many schools saying they will be by his school. Including a group of colleges looking at him for both on and off-field purposes. "I have been receiving some new interest from the Ivy league schools: Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Penn. I am a good student but never dreamed I could go to an Ivy League School, so that would be awesome." Rather than wait for schools to come to him, Frazier has also been getting out to a couple spring visits. The most recent of which was Purdue. "I attended the Purdue Spring Game and had a good conversation with Coach Hagen and Coach Hope. I will be going to their one day camp." This weekend, he will head to another spring game. "We are going to Northwestern for the Spring game this Saturday and I am looking forward to that. Coach Fitz and Coach Cushing are really great coaches." Even with all the new developments, Frazier has not forgotten about Florida International, who was the first school to offer him. In fact, he has been doing his due dilligence and finding out more about the southern school. "I have been getting to know the coaches at FIU, where I received my first offer. I am learning more about the school and their football program. It sounds great."
