Canton McKinley defensive back Johnny Duncan is coming off a fine junior season for the Bulldogs, and is looking forward to finishing his career in a positive manner.
Duncan, 5-foot-11, 165-pounds, will be a two-year starter for McKinley, and he's also very successful in the classroom.
"I did real well last year and I'm hoping to be a better player this year," Duncan said. "I'm a physical corner and I have good recovery speed. I need to work on keeping my head down and improving my technique."
"I want to win the state championship this year," he continued. "Then I'm hoping to go to college to play football. I want to major in business and own my own business some day."
Although he is still looking for his first offer, Duncan is receiving recruiting interest.
"I don't have any offers yet but I'm being recruited by Bowling Green, Youngstown State, Marshall and Illinois State," he explained. "I'm just looking for someone to give me a chance to prove myself."
McKinley head coach Ron Johnson spoke highly of his young cornerback.
"Johnny is very technique-conscious and plays with great awareness," Johnson stated. "He uses his hands well and is a solid tackler, because he's a very tough kid. He will have a great senior season for us."
