Illini Offer Indiana Corner
Illinois became the latest school to offer Center Grove's 6'2, 165-lb cornerback Nick Stoner. The speedy cover man already held offers from Iowa State, Indiana, Ball State, Toledo, and others, and the Illini decided to add themselves to the mix as well. "Illinois is a great school and a great football program," Stoner said. "I've definitely got to take them in to consideration just like everyone else. I'm keeping my options open." Stoner says he was supposed to take a trip to Champaign for a junior, but did not make it. However, he says a future visit is a virtual certainty. His other recent offer, Toledo, is a school he has checked out. "I went there for a junior day. It was nice. They have that indoor facility. Ine thing I do remember was that they're very family like, and a good family. That's really good to see." Then there is Colorado, who Stoner thinks could be the next to offer. "My coach said they're just waiting for the final nod, but they're pretty much going to offer. They just haven't officially offered yet." As far as summer plans, Stoner says he is not planning on doing much of the camp circuit. "I'm not sure if I'll be doing much camping. Our team does the IU camp and there is a Ball State camp at our high school, but I don't know if I'll do that."
