Spring Football is over and prospects will turn their attention to team camps, university camps,…
Chris Garye with eight
"I have received offers from USF, Maryland, FIU, Illinois, Ole Miss, Iowa State, Louisville and Georgia Tech," said Chris Garye. "Vanderbilt, Clemson, Kentucky and Kansas are all showing interest in me, but have not offered. Maryland was my most recent offer." Garye does not have a list of favorites, but he does have an overall leader of the schools who have offered. "Right now I would say USF is really big for me right now," he said. "The coaches are always showing me love. Coach Smith came to our school the other day. I have a real good relationship with him. I like the surroundings and where the school is. I also have family in Tampa." The 6-foot-3, 202-pound prospect is a starter on the defensive side of the ball for the powerhouse program. He recognizes his strengths and areas to improve. "I am a big hitter," said Garye. "I need to work more on coverage. We are in spring training. It's going great. We are getting better and better everyday. Not taking any days off."
