Don’t sleep on Holmes
Jermaine Holmes
South Recruiting Manager

VALDOSTA, Ga. – It is not hard to find Jermaine Holmes on the field because he is constantly around the ball. He may not have the size all schools covet at linebacker, but a lot of schools like him and he talks about those that have offered and more here

Illinois, Louisville, Murray State, and South Alabama have offered Jermaine Holmes so far and he is excited about those, but he wants more.

“I am looking for the recruiting to pick up after the spring,” said Holmes. “Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee are the ones showing interest.”

Holmes is open to all schools at this time.

“I am looking for a good environment, a defense that I can fit into, and somewhere that feels like home like Valdosta.”

Holmes, known as ‘The Freak’ down in Valdosta feels his size has held a few schools back from offering him, but he thinks those coaches should overlook that he is only 6-feet tall. The 230 pound linebacker has a nose for the ball and he thinks they should look at that.

“I am going to show them (coaches) what is up, that is all I have to say about that.”
