Anfernee Stewart is a 2012 athlete out of Georgia and he received some big news on Tuesday…
2012 athlete picking up offers
"Louisville was the first school to offer me and then Kentucky offered me next. Both schools had coaches come through the school to check on me and they both told Coach [Corey] Jarvis that I had an offer from them," said Anfernee Stewart. Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, and South Carolina are some of the other schools showing a lot of interest in the 6-foot, 183 pound athlete. As a sophomore, Stewart played running back and wide receiver where he scored a total of five touchdowns. He will play quarterback and safety in 2010 and schools really like his versatility. "Both Kentucky and Louisville offered me as an athlete," said the rising junior out of Duluth, Ga. "Neither one of them know exactly where they want me to play yet and I think a lot of schools are like that. I have heard some schools will like me as a cornerback, some as a safety, and some as a wide receiver. It really doesn't matter to me, I will play anywhere." Position is up in the air and his early leader is too. The Cardinals and Wildcats both have an edge over the others right now because they are the only two schools that have offered, but he is currently pretty open. "Of course Kentucky and Louisville are on my list and I grew up a big Georgia, so they are on there too, and I also have interest in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia Tech." "I am going to look at a lot of different schools and a lot of schools have invited me to their camps this summer too, so I may go to Alabama, FSU, and Georgia camps. I haven't really been on any visits yet, so I want to see some schools before I start making a list."
