Schools like Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech are all staying put in the Big 12 and caught up with a few of the players to already make their commitment to gauge their feelings on what this move means for their futures.

Texas CB Commit Quandre Diggs:

“I don't have a problem with staying in the Big 12. Of course everyone would love a couple big games but every game is big at the university of Texas and we don't care who we play against we're the best and everyone knows that!”

Texas A&M CB Commit Josh Stewart:

“I think it’s just fine. I really didn’t care where we went cause we were going to be good where ever we went, but I’m kind of happy we still are going to keep the Big 12, cause pretty soon here we will be the team to beat! Can’t wait…”

Oklahoma OT Commit Dylan Dismuke:

“It would be better to keep it together, because 16 teams in one conference is too many…”

Texas DE Commit Cedric Reed:

“The Big 12 movement stuff really does not bother me. I like it cause all of the teams we play are within driving distance for my family. The Pac 10 and the SEC have far more competition, but to sum it up it does not matter to me.”

Oklahoma State WR Commit David Glidden:

“(I) don’t really mind either way. I’m happy staying, but I would have been happy going out to the West Coast to play some also, both sides have their positives…”

Texas LB Commit Chet Moss:

“I went into committing to play at UT knowing and wanting to play in the Big 12, so I'm glad it's staying together. Pac 10 or SEC woulda been really sweet to play in, but I'm happy with them keeping the Big 12 as well.”

Texas Tech LB Commit Devon Hocutt:

“My dreams have always been to play in the Big 12. When I verbally committed to Texas Tech I was very solid on my commitment because it was in the Big 12. I would have the chance to play against the schools like UT, OU, OSU, and Baylor.”

Texas TE Commit M.J. McFarland:

“I think its cool (the new Big 12) - something new - a different experience! So I think it is a neutral point with me. If Texas wants to keep it in the Big 12 then it’s cool, but if they (would go) then it would be more excitement for college football.”

Texas Tech C Commit Tony Morales:

“I kinda feel good about it. I have always wanted to play in the Big 12, so I am excited that the Big 12 is still alive and I look forward to playing in the conference.”

Texas Tech OG Commit Alfredo Morales:

“I think its good (the new Big 12). The Big 12 is home to to many good teams and has a lot of tradition, but I would not have really cared what conference we would have gone to – just as long as I’m wearing a Texas Tech uniform.”

Texas Tech TE Commit Jace Amaro:

"It's great man. It doesn't change anything I followed the Big 12 my whole life and I now I'll get the opportunity to play against some great school's. I'm very happy about the choices that were made."

Texas Tech QB Commit Michael Brewer:

"I was excited to hear that Tech was staying in the Big 12. I grew up watching the Big 12. It is the best conference in college football in my opinion. I would have enjoyed playing in the PAC 16 and playing some West Coast teams such as USC, Oregon, Arizona and teams like that. I'm glad it worked out the way it did though."

Baylor WR Commit Jonathan Lee:

"Well I mean the Big 12 is one of the oldest conferences in the NCAA. They produce great athletes and have good competition and to see that it's still alive is great. All the talk about teams moving here and there is just insane because why would somebody take away one of the best conferences in the nation. I'm going to Baylor and hopefully they are still in the Big 12 but I know wherever they go, we will be successful and play for the conference championships and move on to bring a national championship to Waco, Texas."
