Harrington Shows Well At SMSB
Sound Mind Sound Body held their annual camp this week at Wayne State, in Detroit, and several bug name stars attended. The event is sponsored by NFL star Antonio Gates, and is one of the finest camps in America. One of the more impressive wide receivers was Minnetonka, Minnesota's Austin Harrington, who might lack the big name, but doesn't lack skill. "I was at the Michigan Football Showcase, but I was coming off a broken ankle, and I wasn't 100%," Harrington stated. "I'm close to being fully healthy now, and it's made me a lot quicker. I'm now running in the 4.6 range, and my routes are better." Harrington, 6-foot, 180-pounds, is attracting recruiting attention, and currently holds one offer. "I have an offer from Ball State, and I like them a lot," he stressed. "I've also been to Colorado State and Boise State recently, and had great camps at both. I'm hoping to hear about an offer from both real soon. I'm also hearing from Utah, and I'm very interested in them." Harrington insists distance from home will not play a part in his eventual decision, but he admits he is hoping for an offer from home-state Minnesota. "Distance won't be a problem for me at all, and I'll worry about that if I get those offers," he explained. "I'm hoping to be offered by Minnesota, but we have to see how their numbers shake out. I'm going to visit Wisconsin at the end of the month, and I like that program. I'm also visiting Iowa State, I believe, at some point."
