Ahmeti Downplays Great Performance
Lansing Waverly's 6'5, 310-lb offensive tackle Ramadan Ahmeti had a nice day at Michigan State's camp today, turning the heads of the college coaches and observers on hand. Even though his 1-1 results spoke for themselves, Ahmeti still felt he could have done better. "I didn't think I did that good," he admitted. "My back was killing me. I messed it up last Monday. That's why I wasn't at Sound Mind Sound Body." A certain group of college coaches disagrees with Ahmeti's assessment of his day, as they let him know he is a big target of theirs. "Bowling Green, Toledo, and Northern Illinois seemed really interested. They all said they want me to go to their campuses and meet the head coach." The host school, Michigan State, also thought highly of his performance. "They said that I did great and that they liked me a lot, but they didn't mention anything about offering." Ahmeti will next camp at Central Michigan, currently the only school who has offered, but may also head to Kalamazoo to check out their rival. "I might also go to Western Michigan's camp on Thursday because their O-Line coach said that if I go, they'll offer, but I'm not sure yet."
