Vanderbilt offers Lynch, Commodores lead

Cameron Lynch went up to Vanderbilt on Thursday without an offer, but he left with one in hand. After showing the Commodore staff what he could do, they offered him a scholarship.

"I attended the Vanderbilt camp on Friday," said Cameron Lynch. "I spent the day running drills with the linebackers coach and I got to meet the entire coaching staff. They were cool. The time there was great. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Vandy. They offered me a scholarship and I am very excited."

Lynch, a 5-foot-11, 215 pound linebacker out of Snellville (GA) Brookwood now holds offers from Air Force, Akron, Harvard, and Syracuse along with Vanderbilt.

The honor student is looking for a combination of strong academics and athletics in a school and he loves what Vanderbilt has to offer.

"Vanderbilt is in one of the best and toughest conferences. Vanderbilt is also one of the best academically. I had a chance to briefly watch some of the Vandy players work out, and you could tell they have a good chemistry. Good chemistry is important."

"I have high interest in Vanderbilt now."
