First Offer For Reeves Comes from the SEC
David Reeves profile "I was just offered by Mississippi State," said David. "A few minutes ago my coach called me and told me to call Coach Hud at Mississippi State." Reeves reports he wasted no time in making the call to his area recruiting coach. "Coach Hud asked me if I enjoyed my time over and there," explained David. "I told him that I did and then he told me they were offering me a scholarship. He said he knew some other people were going to be showing me interest, so he wanted me to remember that Mississippi State was the first school to offer me." Before the conversation ended, Reeves received an invitation for a return trip to Starkville next month. "They want me to come back to the Big Dawgs camp," explained David. "They said it's for their top prospects. He said it's important for me to be there." All prospects are grateful for that first scholarship offer and Reeves is no different. He was hopeful the Bulldogs would offer after last week's camping event. "I like Mississippi State," said David. "It feels good to get that offer. I like the campus and the coaches over there." Once Reeves had a moment to digest the good news, he made a call to his biggest fan to share his good fortune. "I called my mama and she was said that all the work and gas money paid off," said David. "She was really happy for me and real proud." The talented tight end reports he is not going to make a rash decision and wants to attend a few more camps to be sure of his options before rendering a decision.
