Rivers Moving at His Own Pace
Stephen Rivers profile Over the course of the last week to ten days, Rivers took unofficial visits to Florida State and Mississippi State. Stephen took part in Florida State's camping activities, but elected to just tour the facilities at Mississippi State. Rivers has been invited back to Starkville to take part in the Bulldogs' Big Dawg camp on July 23rd. Having the chance to get out on the road and get the feel of a college campus has been a highlight for Stephen. "The best thing has been seeing the places and getting to know the coaches," reported the Alabama prepster. "I am looking for the best place and best situation for me." Not one for the limelight, Stephen has done his best to keep a low profile during the recruiting process. He is content to let his ability speak for him. Right now one the top of the things on his summer agenda is to prepare for the best season of his high school career. "I need to learn to sit in the pocket better and keep my eyes down field," said Rivers of his pre-season personal objectives. In addition to being one of the top signal callers in the south, Stephen is also an exceptional student who excels in the classroom as well as the football field. "I have a 3.8 GPA," revealed Rivers. "I am probably going to major in business." Recently Stephen reported that Florida State and Mississippi State were two of his top three schools. He was not prepared to name a third finalist, but one of the schools in contention recently added a quarterback when Mobile, Alabama product Justin Coker committed to FSU. Despite those recent developments, Rivers remains unflappable. "I am not in any rush to make a decision," explained Stephen. "I am just waiting for the best thing to jump out at me."
